KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, opens a People Flow Intelligence and Training Center in Jakarta. The People Flow Intelligence Center is the first in Asia for KONE and the Training Center is the second in Asia. The Center’s state of the art facilities will include an interactive and open showcase for customers, where KONE’s innovations and technology will be highlighted. The showcase will allow customers to familiarize themselves first-hand with the innovative solutions offered by KONE.
The People Flow Intelligence Center on the first floor is equipped with the latest People Flow Intelligence solutions, including two elevators integrated with the destination control system (DCS) and the premium benchmark in turnstile technology, the KONE turnstile 100.
The training center houses the KONE e-learning rooms to promote self-learning and continuous development among KONE’s employees. Actual equipment simulators are installed to emulate on-site environment and facilitate hands-on practices on installation, dismantling, maintenance, testing and commissioning processes. Among the training courses held in the facility will be to develop fresh graduates through the apprentice program, supervisor development program and field competency development program aiming at equipping our installers. The goal for 2016 is expected to train up to 150 additional installer, testing & commissioning engineers and supervisors.

It will allow our personnel to receive valuable training in facilities offered by KONE, which will help support our growth in Indonesia,” Yandy Januar, Managing Director of KONE Indonesia says.
KONE is involved in various high-profile projects in Indonesia. The company received a large order for District 8, a commercial and residential use development in Jakarta's business district. To increase transportation capacity and to shorten travel time to the District 8 building towers with up to sixty floors, KONE will supply the project with a total of 131 elevators and escalators. KONE has also provided solutions for Telkom Landmark Tower, the headquarters for Indonesia’s largest telecommunications services company, a project which started in 2013.
The construction of the training center started in January 2015, and it is set to open on 30th March 2016.
